How it works

Four steps · no app

1. Ask for dates
By email
Write to [email protected] with the dates you’d like and how many of you are coming.

2. Get a reply
Within two days
We confirm your dates and send an invoice for a bank transfer. Pay it, and the van is yours.

3. Pick up the van
15:00 in Skarvdal
Collect it at Skarvdal Landhandel. We walk you through the stove, the heater and the beacon.

4. Drive up, switch off
Back by 12:00
Drive the 14 km to the lake and stay put. Bring the van back by 12:00 on your last day.
Safety without signal

Beacon on board · one check-in a day
The satellite messenger
The van carries a satellite messenger. It sends an emergency alert from anywhere at the spot. Once a day you send us an ‘all is well’ check-in with it, and that’s all it does.
The nearest phone signal is at the second hairpin, 6 km down the road. If you need to make a call, drive there.

The road

Gravel · open from about 10 June
- Gravel all the way, open to cars from about 10 June.
- No trailers.
- Drive slowly. Sheep have right of way, and they know it.
