One camper van. One lake at 1,080 metres. No signal, on purpose.

Nothing gets through

There is no mobile signal at the lake. Not one bar. Nobody can reach you, and you can’t check.

The spot by Skarvtjønn is private. You share it with the wind, the odd reindeer and nobody else.

Warm in August snow

It can snow up here in August. The van has a diesel heater and a small wood stove, and the firewood is included.

Skarvtjønn · 14 km of gravel

You collect the van in Skarvdal and drive it 14 km up the Skarvdalsvegen toll road: about 40 minutes of gravel and hairpins. The last bar of signal goes at the second hairpin.

At the top there is a lake, a fire ring, a wood shed and a great deal of quiet. That’s it. That’s the spot.
